Visa Rules and Obligations

Apply online via AVTAS 4 months before course start; visa fee: €100

D Visa for full-time courses longer than 3 months (minimum 15 hrs/week study)

Pay at least 50% of first-year tuition (or €6,000 if total < €12,000)

Proof of €7,000 living expenses per year required

Must buy private health insurance from Irish provider (€150–180/year)

IELTS 5.0 band (min.) required per module for visa

Work rights: 20 hrs/week during term; 40 hrs/week during vacation (ILEP-listed courses only)

Residency registration within 90 days of arrival is mandatory
